Inconsistant acceleration

first off i have a 92 VE 5spd. if i am going up a slight hill i can feel the engine pulsing in about half second intervals inconsistantly. one night i was coming home and i was goin up a slightly steeper hill and the engine just cut out all together like i ran out of gas, but then cut back in less than a second later. when i am on flat road and i hit the gas pretty good it doesnt feel like theres a whole lot of power there. also noticed that i have little low end torque. could a gas line leak be causing starvation? the leak is right under driver door, whats the best way to repair it?

i have tried grounding my VTCs and it seems to have helped the ticking but now when idling, the RPMs slightly go up n down less than about 100 RPMs. i dunno whats goin on. help me out

cutting out hesistation could be alot of things but coil pack would be the 1st thing to check

low power could be knock sensor

gas line could be the hard lin that runs from the tank is runsting out but is could also be where the hard line meets the rubber line. if the rubber lines have never been replaced i would replace those first and if it still leaks replace hard line

lfucuating idle is common and most dont worry about it

You can remove each coil pack and inspect them for cracks. You can also check the resistance of the primary coil, you could also check to see if the coil is shorting out internally by measure the resistance from the primary coil to the secondary. But I'd reccomend replacing all six if they have more than 100k miles on them. They're a bit expensive but well worth it if you planning on keeping your max. I think they're around 65$ from courtesy nissan with the discount, but not sure.

If your lucky the gas leak is from a rubber hose, and the gas is just trickling back down in the area of the drivers door.

Your power loss could also be gas starvation, which could be the injectors plugged up, or the gas filter.
