Bose Stereo Trouble

I'm finally replacing my Bose stereo/cassette deck. Over the past year it's gotten worse with sound quality. My left two speakers don't put sound out now and it crackles and takes about 5 seconds to "warm up" when turned on or changing stations. It started with making a high pitched noise out of my left rear speaker, and after having all my speakers repaired twice (the radio popped twice and blew them out) I finally decided I would find a new Bose unit and replace it. I found one on ebay and bought it for about $70. Guaranteed to work. Has anyone had similar problems with theirs?

for a little more, you can just buy an aftermarket HU, and I would check the amps, since from what you describe, they sound like they are shot, just bypass them, look in the stickies for Craigh's site, there is a how to on there.
