Keyless entry

How can I tell my car originally had keyless entry? It is a 94 GXE. Also has anyone had their keypad on the doors reprogrammed? What does something like that cost? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

all GXEs had the keypad entry stock. there should be a keypad under each front door handle
none of them had remote keyless entry from the factory though

check the stickies up top, there is a cardomain site (dmad's) that has directions on how to reprogram the code

Thanks. I got the instructions. That gives me something to do this evening. Thanks again. Later.

Man, I was just looking at your site and your Max is sick! You've got a lot of nice things on there. I especially like the hud. Thanks again for your help. Later.

thanks!
I've put a lot of time and effort into it.

I just moved away from Atlanta this weekend. I was in Duluth - Gwinnett County and went to school at GT.

Yeah Craig you are like my hero . Without your site, I would run out of mini projects and have way more questions. You have a writeup on cleaning the IACV, or should i just unbolt it and cleany clean clean?

It shows. It's nice because the things you've done don't take away from the overall look of the car. Nice work. What was your major at GT? Are you gone for good? I wish I could leave here. I'm stuck for a while. My wife and I are expecting so all my projects are sort of on the back burner. Anyway, keep up the good work. Later.

garbury - thanks, as for the IACV, I dont have anything on that. Check the autozone repair site and I think Wiking might also have some info on his cardomain page

jamz - yes, they are from 3 series BMW, check out www.geocities.com/bmwconversion or my links on my site for more info

Jason - thanks, I like to keep the mods subtle and usually somewhat useful. I majored in electrical engineering. I worked around Atlanta for a year and got this job up here so I'll be up here indefinitely. I liked it there but couldn't pass up this job offer.

yes Craig's mods are both subtle and very useful, I'm going to go to your site now to look for ideas..

also Craig I don't know if you saw my post in the classifieds, but I bought Brian's (1992MaxMan) HUD and have looked over your write-up, and I think I have it down, just have to get the stuff from him, so I might be sending some PMs your way, also might have a VE5spd on lock! PM me sometime..

can't go wrong with Craig's site. thanks to him i installed my HUD successfully. hopefully he should have more things to tinker around in our cars later on. back on the keyless entry subject i didn't pay anything to get mine re-programmed. the Nissan tech. told me how to do it and all he needed was just a flashlight, pen and paper and he told me to take over from there. another Nissan tech wanted $50 to do it so i just went to the other Nissan tech.
