Hi guys.. My Defog Button, Cruise Control, and Climate Control buttons do not light up. Sometimes it does, but the Cruise control light seems to come on when i press it to enable it. Also the Defrog button lights up when i push it. The Signs do not light up. and that goes for the climate controls. Does anyone know what is blown or is it just the lights that are damaged? Thanks.

 

probably just the bulbs.take the center trim piece off then the upper part off (what surrounds the speedometer and has the clock in it).

Then you can see the flap on the top of the MCC unit.

Pull the flap up then you will see two round light bases. Take something to unscrew them slightly then pull them out.

go to radio shack and buy the 12v mini lamp Radio Shack part 272-1092 or 7219 depending on age of the package.

wire those things in by following how you take the other bulbs out.

Put back together in reverse and you should have lights again.

 

Panel takeoff starts from gear selctor panel, radio roundabaout, panel under gauges, then that long one awsm speaks.

The temp ctrl assy slides out if one of the plastic supports is bent, no need to exple whole dash, juts like awsm indicated. Take assy connectors off and disconnect steel ctrl wires (I have only one).

The lamp swap job is best done on the table. (I didn't have such lamps, so soldered small in wire ends and now theyre 'hanging' -glued in)
