Catalytic Converter w/Air Tube

I'm ordering a new catalytic converter for my friends 92 Maxima. My question is, do I need one with or without an air tube? Do I need one that has a spot for an O2 sensor?

the o2 sensor is hooked up before your Cat, so no you dont need an o2 spot.

yes i am getting a universal one.

now my next question, the most of the auctions for magnaflow ones off ebay advertise 2.25". is that ID or OD. If it's outside diameter, should i be ordering a 2.5" one then?
