Are 3rd gens 9004s or 9007s?

i have a 92 se and and i thought they were 9004 but im not sure.

The 3rd generation (89-94) utilizes the 9004. Search Google for the 9007 conversion.

out of curriosity why would you want to convert? Are 9007's brighter?

they put out more lumens than 9004s. but the filament arrangement is different than the 9004s, so you need to turn the bulb around so you don't get blobs of light everywhere.

Not a huge increase, but 10 watts. They also seem to throw the light down better. The conversion takes about 15-30 minutes, and if you don't like it put the 9004's back in. Check it out.

you should also upgrade the harness if you convert from 9004 to 9007s
