writeups for engine pull?

writeups for engine pull?

lookin for that. are there any writeups on pulling a ve5spd?
come on... there's gotta be. what needs to be disconnected, what doesnt....
i'd search, but......

step 1: remove any strange men from inside engine bay

you'll need to remove the axles (and everything associated with that), y-pipe, power steering lines to the pump, lots of vacuum lines, fuel lines from the filter, coolant lines to/from radiator and heater core, remove AC compressor from engine (you can just hang it to the side so you dont have to discharge it), remove engine and tranny mount bolts (and possibly mounts)

basically you just need to remove anything that goes from the engine/tranny to the engine bay

Here are some pics of when we pulled the engine from awsm66's 92SE

while you have the engine out, I'd definitley recommend at least doing the exhuast studs and also VTCs, water pump, knock sensor, fuel lines, gaskets and stuff like that while you have the engine out of the car
