custom headlight covers/ wade covers/ flush mounted.

I know of a few that did flsuh covers for e36's
But has anyone done SEALED' covers?

I finally got some wade covers(Big thanx to Craig) and they cover the headlight AND corner. My corners are already have the lense removed for clear acrylic covers that I ghetto screwwWed in place.

Basically my mission is to make a corner and headlamp one unit, seal and pretty!

Any tips about working plastic and sealing would be nice.

Yes,

James92SE did it not long ago and has by far the best most factory looking install. He did it like Craig and I though and cut the corner cover off.

Brandon90GXE and Alex (spyhunter something or nother on here) did it like you are talking about. I think Brandon sealed his as well but I cant remember. To me they didnt look right as one piece but with a little work you can make them look great.

Yeah i just finished reading your article you posted. Look really tight man!

But, your max is dressed up a lil different than mine. What I'm thinking about doing is using the wade cover to make the corner and headlamp one. that means double the sealing. heh....
I want to change the corner though.
1.rewire the little 944 bulb into a real bright amber led, An led so no chance of melting the cover.
2. remove the 'turn' bulb and replace it with a projection lens and h3 bulb to ONLY light up when singoled to one direction or the other.
Paint the inside of the corner black. Because the housing of my headlight are black(thier the halo projectors.)

And possible lightly smoke the entire assembly.

I did a little work on the corners. I replaced that daul filiment bulb with a pilot projector fog light! BWhahah. Reason being, I wanted a black housing like my projector headlights. But the problem with using the originol bulb was the light wouldn't reflect off the black and light up the outside. A fog will light it up and then some. It will only be on when I'm signoled to the side. If that wasn't clear. If i signol right, then only the right side projector in the corner will turn on. here's some pics.

Depending on the reflection their yellow, blue, and clear. When illuminated their yellow. I think if I make my halo's yellow it'll match up fine.

The way they come, they cover the headlight and corner. But most of us that have used them just cut off the corner part

I think it could look good the way you're doing it since you had the corners cut apart before anyway
