Can't install new antenna mast - Help

All right. I followed the directions at 4dsc.com and there is no real sound advice for getting the antenna back in. I can't feed it by hand, nor can i get it to do it electronicly. Anyone have any tips on how to get this done?

I can get it to catch, gets in a couple of inches, no more than three, then it stops.

I didn't look at the instructions on 4dsc, but Matt's site in the FAQ had a great rundown. Here it is: antenna mast replacement . BTW, when the instructions help you, don't forget to drop these guys a line to say thank you. I know Craig's site has really helped me in a pinch a few times.

This means you probably have a broken piece in the works. Remove the unit from the car, go to the work bench and take it apart. It's not that hard, once you get the piece out, put it back together and reinstall it in the car. Now gentle start the track into the hole and have someone turn off the radio and guide it down to the end. Good luck.

i didn't read the write-up either but i worked on this before.
first off, did you check if the spool? make sure there is no left over from the previous antenna mast.

if you're sure there is none, then turn on the radio, your antena motor should turn then insert the pastic geared mast and have somebody turn off the radio.
