what size speakers fit in se assembly and gxe assembly (in the front)

i've heard/read that 4x6 is the size for the front. someone else could confirm this for me, as I'll be looking to buy speakers for my 91 max as well.

is it a bose system??? my 1991 bose Maxima SE has 4 inchers i think they are round so i dont think they are 4x6 hope this helps!

has anybody fit 6.5 comps in the front of a 3rd gen with bose? if so how did you do it?im going to try this week!

my 2 cents, even though the sizes will be the same, youre more than likely going to end up with speakers that dont exactly fit, i had to take a blowtorch and a knife, and do some clever remodelling of the plastic bracket to get my infinitis to fit. Just needed a little love, i think it almost would have been easier just to make a new bracket out of some plywood
