You just have to take out the speedometer... to do that you have to take off the trim around the radio and temperature controls, then the piece that is near the steering wheel that has your mirror adjustments, foglights, defroster and all that. Then the black piece in front of the speedometer. Then the speedometer comes out and on the back you have access to all the bulbs you could ever want to change on it.

You can buy colored ones from walmart for like 1.50 for two, just check the automotive lighting section in stores you go. But places like autozone and napa will have them, ive never been into a pepboys so i dont know about them.

just convert it to LEDs.. the current that goes through there can prolly power 3 LEDs per bulb outlet.. just route them evenly behind ur gauges, when u're all done u'll have an intensely bright colored set of gauges. ofcourse u can still dim it down with the dimmer switch..
