leaks everywhere

leaks everywhere

hey guys, what the freak does it mean if i have antifreeze leaking out of the top seal of my oil pan on the side where my belts are??? THe second i pour antifreeze in, its dripping right out there.

Your water pump is shot methinks.

Well, your water pump sits right above the crank seal, so if antifreeze is leaking from that area, I'd have to guess the water pump has failed. Have you crawled under the car to see exactly where it is leaking from?

yeah i just had it up on jackstands today, it just looked to be coming right from the seal near the belts, what other problems could come from a water pump failure? anything else correlated? thanks man

no other problems should arrive other than over heating due to low coolant levels. I would advise to have that changed as soon as possible...

Make sure it is not one of the freeze plugs.

how long can i get away with driving like this, because i plan to do it asap, prob cant bring it in today or tommorw and still need to get a few miles to wokr
