Corner lights melting?

So I've had my corners rewired for about a week now (the one where they are always bright), and tonight after I got home I just randomly decided to run my hand over my driver side corner and it was hot to the touch. Not really hot, but hot enough for me to flinch and draw my hand back with a little "ow". Also, the lense is no longer smooth. It now has a little indentation where the bulb is. Has anyone that's done the rewire had this problem?

I'm sure all lenses get a little hot to the touch. That bulb in there is pretty close to the lense so it doesnt surprise me. I wouldnt worry about it

I've had mine re-wired for 3 or 4 years with no problems at all and on the same clear corners
