starter is maybe going?

Went to start the car this mourning and the engine kept turning over until I pumped the gas and then it would turn on. Then I let it sit for a few mins and it would start up fine. Is it the starter that's going?

Nah it sounds like a fuel or air supply problem to me. If it were the starter then it would make an ungodly noise or not do anything, or something like that. I would check the air filter, and when was the last time you changed your fuel filter too?? Thats where I would start at

Hi,

i would think it would be your distributor cap or the rotor that is causing the problem,

check those first and see what happen, if those are the reason your car takes a long time to start then replace them and be done,
