Ok guys I know that this topic has been talked about many times. I've even asked once but forgot. I've even searched but can't get what i'm looking for. Here goes, Can I mount a vg trans to a ve engine. I have a vg trans and my ve trans is shot. Would it bolt up? Whats the difference. Or do I have to buy a ve trans. Don't kill me on this. If theres a post in the search can someone tell me whats the write up to that post so i can check it out. I've tried many different ways of gettin the info but again can't get anything. thanks...

 

well I assume since people have done the opposite then you can do what you want. I know some that have put the VE trans on the VG.

You will have to change the hub because it uses a different spline than the VG and also different axles...other than that I dont know.

 

Now would that be a problem because of the more power the the ve has that the the vg trans would get messed up? Can you tell me whats a spline?

 

I dont know...probably wouldn't be a problem but I am not sure how strong the VG 5 speeds are. I know I wouldn't do it. The VE has VLSD which is a plus and is a stronger transmission I think.
