Guys I talked to my new mechanic today, and he said that he would rebuild my trans and change my timing belt for $1600 combined, is that a good price? I'm guessing so...any thoughts....?

If he does a good job on the tranny, that's an excellent price.

tranny rebuilds go anywhere form 1200 to $3000, depending on where you go and how bad the tranny is.

t-belt replacements gor from 300 to 600.
