turn down the stereo.

look for rattles, not leaks.
wire harnesses need to be taped to metal surfaces. license plate and frames need to be firmly bolted on all 4 corners, not just two. a piece of foam behind it doesn't hurt either.
remove the vent at the bottom of the trunk as well. they make noise..

and lots and lots of dynamat!

Dynamat is a beautiful thing but not too much or you will just be adding weight. That is if you care about that. The max is a very good car to put a system in.

any opinions on their spray vs the sheets? used the spray inside the dorrs of my bronco and seems to work great...just can't imagine having used a sheet in there...

lighter too - well, depending on how many coats you put

I have read that the spray on deadener can be twice as effective if used at the same thickness as the mat style brands. The prep time is more but overall it is a faster neater looking job.Spray is asy to get in places you cannot normamly reach.

I used both mat style deadener and spray on the doors of my maxima.

Take off your center taillight piece and put dynamat on the trunk lid just behind it. Took away most of my rattle.
