Antenna question

I've seen some of the people that have shaved off the antenna completely and didnt look like they have added another. I do kow that there is one in the back window and does anyone know if it is better or worse than the flagpole aka power antenna?

Right now mine has problems going up and down and it sounds like its an easy uninstall and im wondering if the one on the back window works better/as good or worse.

lol i tried that when it wouldn't go down. It worked for a bit(after winter with all the crap that probably got in there.) But now its prety much stuck half way up and wont go either way.

So, im going to just take it off and go from there. IMO looks better without it.

it does work fine without one, i pulled mine after the second one got bent. Works even in my parking garage under ground. Only thing is i need to disconnect the power since it still tries to go up and down when i turn it on and off...

When my antenna is down I get no reception. Well I get local (read: crappy) stations but not the city stations. When it's up I get all the stations, even Connecticut (read: crappy) stations.
