I have a '92 SE and for no reason the engine stalls. One day I was getting gas, I bought premium gas, and after awhile the engine stalled a couple of times while I was driving and at the stop light. The previous owner said it stalls sometimes, but only when it idles like at a stop light, but one time I was driving going about 35 and the car starts vibrating alittle and it stalled. Recently I felt the car vibrating sometimes while accelerating and figured out that when it vibrates that the engine is about to stall. Does anyone know what to do or has anyone experienced this?

Its when i'm idling at a stop light most of the time......I have no idea what it could be....but maybe....jsut maybe.....somethin with my a/c cause when i turn it on, my car like struggles and can't pick up speed and i have to floor it. Let me know if you find out what the problem is.

Have you tried?

How about the fuel filter? Have you replaced it recently? It maybe clogged.

Welcome

If you keep reading different post you will see that 92-94SE have a stalling problems. It happens at no specific time mostly at a light as you mentioned. Other times you may experience a power loss problem, but it's a on-going problem among us VE guys. I too have recently starting having this problem after 70K+ of trouble free driving, I just broke the 100K mark. Some have tried cleaning the coolant temp sensor connector, which didn't work for me. I recently had my trany rebuild (which is another problem to be aware of) so I'm paying all my attention to the rebuild due the money I drop for the rebuild.

There is a filter in the gas tank on the pick up of the fuel pump. You may have dirt or water cloging the filter. Dry Gas will help with the water. Otherwise the tank has to be dropped and everything cleaned out.
