Where's the best place to get a new MAF sensor?

Guys, sorry if this has been asked before, but I can't search for it. I'd like to know where the best, least expensive, place is to get a new MAF. AutoZone just quoted me $175.99 exchange for a rebuilt. Is this about average?

Thanks!

If I were you I would just head to the nearest junk yard. I wouldnt think twice about pickin one up at a local yard. Just take it off and look in it to see if the needle is in tact, if so then that would tell you that it is most likely good.

I agree with Drivin..... Go to a yard and get one for much cheaper or check the classifieds to see if there are any...I have heard about ppl buying rebuilt units from napa/kragen just to have it be a faulty unit... Sure u can take it back and get another, but I been told it may take 3 or more to get a good unit. At the pice of gas its best to make 1 run to the yard.

good idea.. I know a local yard has a 3rd gen, so maybe they've got one. I know mine's shot, so I have to do something.

Thanks

I had an issue with irradic idle, or when holding the rpm at 2-2500 it would dip very low and back up again spastically (sp?).. A change in gas mileage to I think, mileage may get better with a bad maf sensor? I think that happend to a few ppl but I may be wrong.

A bad MAF symptom would be if you hit the gas pedal then it will surge and buck as the RPMs rise. Also I think that the gas mileage will get worse, cause the comp wont know how much fuel to put in so it will just dump it in.

I'm parting out my 1994 Maxima SOHC in case you want my MAF - make me an offer. Blew the tranny. Otherwise, engine was perfect

I'm in Ontario
