My 92SE didnt come with foglights, so I bought a pair of used OEM ones and bought new hyperwhite bulbs to go with them (one of the original bulbs was blown anyway). So, I mount the brackets on the fender and then test the lights to see if they work. To my dismay, the left side light does not go on, which means that it is a wiring problem. I found the wire coming out of the front, but it joins other wires about two or three times before it gets buried under the large relay box. My question is: how difficult is it to figure out where the problem lies? Has anyone attempted this, or is it something the dealer could do much more quickly than I. The bulbs and fogs themselves are fine. I noticed that although there are 2 relays for the corners, there seems to be only one for the foglights. Is this a problem? Anyone with experience / advice responding would be greatly appreciated.

"when everything seems to be in order. The solution to a problem lays in the simplest and most insignificant detail" - my dad.

Fog lights have sort of an internal clip that hold the light in place and attached to the case that incloses the light. If this clip is not properly holding the light you will not get a working connection - ergo your fog light will not work. I suggest open the one working fog light, look at how it's set up, and fix the non working fog light.

Thanx

Well,

I checked out the other very similar post and got some detailed advice. I know that the problem is not with the fogs themselves, as both work when plugged into the right side. But thanks for the advice; I appreciate it.

Be happy that you have fogs that work. I have a 94 GXE and I have bought a set of Nissan fogs from a local dealer and neither seem to work properly.
