Where is the cheapset place that I can get a strut tower brace for my VE? Courtesy is like $80 plus shipping, and Cattman sells theirs for the same price. I remember Czar saying that he has an OBX one. Anyone have any info on their brace? Thanks!

make sure you get the OBX bar for the 4th gen. since you have a VE.

 

Go to E-Bay you might be able to pick up one for about under 50 bucks.They always have them on there under 95-99 Maximas but hey it will work.

 

Are you sure that the 4th Gen bar will fit a 3rd Gen VE? I have never heard of that before. I really don't wanna have to modify it alot, otherwise I am really defeating the purpose of the bar being strong and supportive. Let me know if it will really fit. Thanks.

 

Well no matter where you buy the bar it will say it is made for the 4th gen.They dont make any special bar for the VE that I know of.And as far as bending the bar it will not make the any less strong or less supportive unless your car weighs like 10,000 pounds and leans all the weight into 1 side of the bar.

 

If i knew this i would have bought a bar for the 4th gen. Czar has the 4th gen bar and he had to bend it a little, however i have the 3rd gen bar and had to seriously modify it i didn't have to bend the bar but i did have to make the holes on one end a lot bigger to get them to line up to the shock towers and after look at Czar bar it look as if it fits a lot better, if you look at mine it's all mangled on one side cause i had to make it fit. Czar's doesn't look all mangled on one side, like mine.

 

I will try to get some pics of mine.But all I had to do was bend it a little and pull the A/C hose away from it.It is the Courtesy FSTB.

i ordered mine like a month and a half ago and it doesnt fit...
i havent tried to bend it yet, but i dont even know if bending it will work...

 

get the 4th gen bar. mine fit in without bending at all, but I bent it a little because the motor would hit the bar when I accelerated. Very affordable... OBX from www.southwestautoworks.com....

 

Ha....go figure. The ONLY part of that site that is not working is the strut tower brace section. It says "No Data"...jeez. Maybe tomorrow. Thanks for your help guys!
