Speedo is not working

Just started happening the other day. Sometimes it will work and sometimes it won't. It seems as when it's not working, it will jump back up to my speed if I hit a bump or going about 50mph+. Pretty annoying and I want to fix it. Help me out guys

If its an automagic then there is a module thingy on top of the tranny (under the intake resonator). check that for loose connections or dirt/corrosion. If its manual then there should be a harness that comes up from the bottom of the tranny and plugs into the engine harness. Check that for loosness or corrosion also. Good Luck

Theres the sender in tranny. Broken? Wire loose, or the gauge assy or gauge...

The sender can be tested. click http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/748507/15 and see also page1 links.

It is likely a bad speed sensor or the speedo circuit board is bad.

I would agree with it likely being a speed sensor.

Before replacing any parts, check out my instructions on fixing a loose VSS connection. I had the exact same symptoms, and it fixed mine. http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=400362

Do that first, the print out the speedo schema (see how -my previous msg) and redline the connections and then check/find everyone, clean. I would start the cleanup from ECU/TCU connectors:
