Turbo Maxima in L.i. NY Car show.....
#1
What's up guys, Well yesterday evening I attended a car show in Baldhill Long Island. This was a sick car show.....tons of domestics and a nice section for imports. well as I was wondering around I came upon two maxima;s. First was a 90 Se with B&G springs 17" rims...Nice looking Max, I was excited to see a Maxima in such car show so with that excitement in mind I went around looking at the other import when what do i SEEEEEEE? a black 91gxe with white 18" rims, marble like racing stripe spoiler nice expensive looking exhaust.... I saw the car from behind with its hood open so I thought It was another maxima, as I was making my way to the front of the car I was hoping it had something special under the hood and not just an intake. SO as i look what do i see ?! a 300Zx Turbo swap.....Man was i surprised.....at the time of my wonder...the guy was on his celly so I couldn't talk to him....well i finally waited and after all the staring I talk to the guy and ask him some questions...well the first thing i asked just to make sure i wasn't seeing things was that if it were a TURBO!! he said it was and it was a motor out of a 88 turbo Z. asked him how much it ran him to do all and he said close to 20K.....couldn't believe .....well being as anxious as i was i asked him if i could step on the gas and he agreed and let me.....a few push's on the pedal and my pants were wet faster then a infants....LOL....well if any of the NYC guys want to head out to Long Island just let me know and we can arrange a Little meet and hopefully see this work of art.. Oh the show takes place every Tuesday night for the rest of the summer from 6-10 P.m. Admission is only $3 for a car load, hope to catch some of you guys next week...Peace

If he has $20k in a Z conversion.....
then who ever did it bent him over the bargaining table and stuck it to him! He probably has that in the entire car, I have close to that, which is really sad I think. Also explains why my wife is so jealous! But, I'm including having to replace the tranny and body repairs from accedents. What can I say, I love my car and she's good to me!
