throttle body
Get some Throttle body cleaner at Auto Zone along with a cleaning brush for alumninum mags so you don't scratch everything up with too stiff a brush. Make sure you contact Nissan first if removing the intake manifold, some of the gaskets where on back order last time I asked. The brush, by the way, will fit between the butterflies when cleaning.
to do a really good job, you might want a brush, but it's really not necessary
Also, for the VE, there are no gaskets to replace like the VE
just go to local auto parts store adn look for 'throttle body cleaner or air intake cleaner'; shouldn't be more than $5 or so
as for the procedure, it's very easy. just take off the plastic piece that connects to the throttle body (a few hose clamps and some pulling required). If you're not sure exactly what the throttle body is, follow the air filter back on the plastic tubes until you hit the metal part with two cables attached to the top (one for throttle, one for cruise). once you have the plastic piece out, put some rags under the TB and start spraying with your cleaner. Open the TB and spray all around where the valve meets the outside
car may be a little hard to start afterwards, but it should smooth out in a few min
