worn away lock?

I have a universal key sorta I recently used my 3rd gen key to open up the door to my friends 4th gen. But his key doesnt open mine. I couldn't start his car though Is it possible that his door lock is really worn down? Or my key maybe? I think mine has more teeth.

the key should wear out waay before the lock. I recently replaced one of mine, fortunatly I had a spare in new condition to copy.

That's fortunate that you had a pristine key to work from. If not, is there a key code somewhere on the car to utilize when cutting a new key?

Yeah, take your car to a good locksmith, and they should be able to cut you new keys. Hey man, that clip on your sig is slightly disturbing.

When I got my max the original owner gave me a small metal tag along with the keys, its a serial number. thats probably what your looking for. It's really small, easy to loose.
