When u sorta floor the gas the ECU works as programmed: cuts a/c off to give max pwr - compressor is off until u release gas pedal.

Drive slow an' cool as grandpa...

I have another question regarding the A/C. I recently recharged my A/C. I believei have a thermostat problem that will be fixed this weekend. But after about 40 minutes of driving, the thermometer starts to rise towards the "H". Then my A/C starts blowing hot air ,then blows cold for a few moments, and then back to hot. Does the engine getting hot have anything to do with the A/C blowing cold?

not a direct answer, but on older cars with engine cooling problem (leaking water pump, hoses, or radiator) turning on the A/C will create a constant load on the engine since it has to also provide power to work the A/C compressor, thus making the engine hotter. So, I really hope that you do have a problem with your temp gauge not reading correctly, because from past experience, I have caused my other 3rd gen max to have an injector meltdown from the engine overheating, I was lucky it didn't lock on me.

Tell me about it; one week after I get my AC fixed (I use it all the time; why drive and suffer when the service is there?), I blew the thermostat hose last night. Oil change 2 weeks ago before the AC repair, the hose looked fine!

that would be because hoses ALL "wear" from the inside out, by the time you see damage, it's already LONG past time for replacement.

Just a full time fool... but been doing some pebble gun target practizing, knuckles bloody. So take care, online advise may always be wrong.

Quarter century ago I used to repair half mechanical computers: one of 'em had a 256-bit mechanical, real grease rotating memory, driven via transistor driver pcb by row of magnets and pendulums. How about that? Luckily later got less greasy, more decent work... Nowadays I only do shopping, photos-hopping that is. - return to beginning...

I cannot see direct connection. Indirect might be fan functionality: if fans do not work, the no A/C. Could such be intermittent? I guess so. And then ECU controls the fans... I would check bad connections in relay pins and/or replace fan relays, ppl complain about relay failures.

Check fan diagram: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/748507/7

I noticed that when the radiator fan cuts on, the gauge goes up approaching H. Has anyone had this problem?

Thats the way it works; called feature.

Still, if temp fluctuates without reason, one possibility is air bubbles. Bleed the system, see stickies. (One way is to drive bleed valve ajar 2000rpm for one hour checking every 10 minute, adding more...). Dont do nothin and ruin engine.

Check belts.

Hmm yes. Intautomator seems to be right: quite often car shaking is becuase of en-gine (kids, wife discounted). Smtimes its because taking wrong route...

AC drops rpm and then possibly feelins worse. Quite possible no link to AC.

For engine shakin
