Need Lighting Suggestions

I want to upgrade my stock bulbs from my 92 Maxima because they are kinda dull. I was lloking onn ebay and they have all these HID look alike bulbs for like 15 bucks. I dont want anything to damage my car and I've heard of those bulbs damaging the harness. I was hoping someone could help me pcik out a pair of bulbs that would work well with my Maxima and that are relatively cheap. I also was thinking about doing something creative in my Maxima. I was reading a site on how to make custom Angel Eyes and such. I dont wanna go through the hassle of changing to E36's becuase I dont believe I have the skil to complete the task. I was wondering if there was anyway I could incorpate angel eyes into the stock headlight housing. Thank you and any opinions will be appreciated.

9004 to 9007 conversion is your option

i tried some xd5's from ebay. the color temps is high, but light output is crap compared to the ones i'm using now (silverstars). the silverstars run about 20 bucks a piece at autozone. thing is, there are mixed results concerning the silverstars. some here experience bulb failure relatively quickly, while others like myself have experience no problems. here's a comparison pic i took awhile back.

So how hard is the actual E46 mod? I read it takes a lot of time and cutting.

no pics, but I didn't think they'd been discontinued. maybe that's why I couldn't get a set for my camaro. had to settle for some hellas instead
