what wire would be loose cause all the wires on the unit are connected tightly

sometimes the wires leading to the unit may seem to be connected tightly, but in actuallity, it is not making perfect contact, so just one method for you to try is to try and shake the wires leading to the control unit ( there should be 2 - 3), if that doesn't work, then you can concentrate on other troubleshooting method.
