battery light stays on

For about a two months my battery light has stayed on. I took it to Autozone, and they tested it, and said the Alternator is fine, but the battery is bad.. so I replaced the battery this past week. The light still stays on, but fades in and out depending on if my head lights are on or how much I rev the engine. But, this has been an ongoing problem. Also, when I give the car a lot of gas like Im merging on the highway, my radar detector will say "danger high voltage". What do you think the problem could be if I replaced the battery, and the alternator is said to be fine?

Thanks!

Matt

Take it to local repair shop and have them test it.

Some of them people that work at idiotzone do not seem real bright to me.

What was the VOLT reading when they did the alternator test? The dumbass at Autozone told me that 11.5v is fine when I went to test mine. The car requires at least 12volts to start, and it should be around 14.1-14.4 volts with the car on.
