IACV stock position

AAC stock position

can someone please tell me the stock position of the auxilary air control valve? like how many turns from either the right or the left?

yep... I tried reading up on it in the Chiltons...but that's a nice long process. I found it easier to do as Wiking said, and adjust it till it sits fine with you.

I tried the process, and my ECU kept saying nothing was wrong (and my "warm" idle was 1500) So I just adjusted it down.

FYI. I am too stupid ...to understand the so called idle adj directions... If IACV is ok an no leaks, ECU wants to do the ? adjustment. May bee or June bee... Anyways, after all the tuneup I explain, my idle sits at 900 sharp.

he he... mine sits at 800... might want to check your spark plugs.

the instructions are too long for me to type on here right now.

so its just idle adjustment, it doesnt lean or richin the idle? i thought it might because it lets more or less air in, as i can hear being sucked in through the intake.

those are one in the same. When you adjust your idle, your changing the amount of air it receives.
