2 years of work... some pics
Figured some of you guys would like seeing these pictures, atleast I hope so anyway.
Basically I bought my car in July of 2003, had to be towed to my house because of a 3" hole in the bellhousing, and the interior wasn't in the best of shape. Lucky for me Jeff92se was about as much of a pack rat as I am and had pretty much everything I needed to build the car up.
Rolled the car into the garage and snapped this pic. The black car is antonthegrey's.
How it was today, anton came over again. Did some work on his car and helped me out.
Engine 2 years ago
well, what mine was finally built up to. Never did get around to painting the CAI but ohwell.
Interior when I first got it. Really see it, but there were burn marks. I later found out it was from a faulty Apline deck. Also no idea why it had a star trek wheel on it. The shift boot was ghetto, just needed to be freshened up.

Interior finally all finished. Never ended up putting subs or seperates in, the car was wired with 4gauge to the trunk and 3 sets of RCA's which have never seen power. The carbon fiber gauge bezel is from my old 93se. Was in Antons car but I bought it back from him lol.
(I was trying to find a black air bag wheel with good leather, also never installed my homelink and autodimming mirror, oh well. Never did get the HUD or ACC done :-( ).
Well since I was working hard at the time, I didn't take many pictures, but this is when I first installed the fidanza. Actually thats a VQ fidanza pictured, i was just seeing if it fit (was going to put it on my Dad's old 2000 SE 5spd but never got around to it).
about 7000 miles later here we are again.
2 years ago, busted tranny and then Jeff's old one (he's great at cleaning them :-D)
Chris's old clutch/flywheel on the left, my Exedy and fidanza, then my extra fidanza (2 is better than one ;-)

It is easier for me to list the things I haven't replaced or worked on this car
-head liner and seatbelts
-brakes (never got spacers to install the BBK)
-oil pan up, heads down
-cooling system (flushed but never replaced anything)
-body
-rear cross member
-tie rods to steering wheel
-hubs/wheel bearings/etc
probably a few other things but meh
I'm not completely done working on her yet. It feels like there are mods on that car I've completely forgotten about. All said and done when my friend asked if it was worth it, all the money and time/work I've put into the car. I replied I never should have bought the car, lol. I wouldn't want to do it all again now, but yeah, it was worth it. Then he said I could have just bought a z28 or cobra or something and gone alot faster. I just said if it was about going fast I would have put money into my Mustang, It was still worth it.
Anyway, I hope you guys can appreciate how much work went into the car . I think demodding the car has been one of the toughest things I've had to do in a while because of how much time I put into it. For those wondering or don't know, My family has a 91 GMC Jimmy that no one drives so I will be driving that for a while (cheaper to insure, just put gas in and go). Also it will be nice to have an extra cushion for tuition and like Michael, I've been wanting to do more work on my first car . I'll just be taking my time working on it and enjoying that car more now. I've still got my black 92 I'm either going to fix up or sell to someone else to. Who knows, I might pick up another members car if the time comes . I'm not going anywhere though

I agree demodding would be the toughest project to do. I don't think I will ever do something like that. Good luck with the projects ahead and I'm sure you'll have more fun moddin the stang and maybe even restore it. Oh btw, something to think about....

You forgot to mention that you had two different suspension set ups, a full leather to cloth interior swap and the AE pedals.
Not to mention the hours spent working on my car, Anton's car, Jeff's car, Aron's car and ??? I am sure there are other Maximas you've helped with.

I would likely crack the top 25, but I don't think I would make the top 10

The worst part was looking at the Exedy, it looks brand new.
The leathers still sitting in the garage, just haven't bothered putting it back in the car. I also put the stock RSB back on my car, what a POS, it bends like a paperclip. Also put the cat back in, took the ground kit off, etc.

does it count that I installed them but never drove it
If I ever had any engine problems the 10.5:1's were waiting to go in, I never had any such luck
I still want to help out with the you know what and stuff
oh and Chris, the plugs on my tranny came off easy as pie(again). Your car sucks (remember that? lol). Right now the only things on the car that I can remember are the SAFC, basically all the interior mods. I even took off my headlight harness today :-/ Car wont run without the SAFC-II until I just hook the MAF wires back up (it's easy just haven't gotten under there to get it done yet).

My list of mods is probably 6 times longer - my YJ
I'm making a leather interior as we speak - you got an original one, right?
I took a part the rear bottom - can't believe how many hog-rings they put there ...

Too bad your car wasn't black... and you were selling it about a month and half ago. I've been having thoughts of selling my Max so I can put full attention to my truck. (but then I realized my insurance would screw me out of any extra money) Besides, I'm not done modding. I still have that hoodscoop to do (already have the cutouts for the air box)

I have a black one, but that would be quite a tow . I still haven't decided if I want to sell it as is or fix it then sell it.
