high idle.....rough change of gears
Just on my way home tonight, my car was idling at like 2k rpms (Automatic Tranny)
when i switched from Drive to Park, it shifted hella hard on when I turn the car of it, it shuts off with a little bit of a shake
The engine bay is really hot, but the engine temperature is normal.
I noticed the fans weren't on, but that could be becuase the car wasn't hot enough for them to turn on, but I just got off the freeway so I would think it would run hot. Anybody know what's up?

High idle - if rubber hoses crackEd: and theres Lots of them if you have not repaired em. After that, it might be just anythin.
Check out for 'some other Lots', correct, clic: ↓↓↓↓↓↓↓

I did something done. I am thinking that since shifting between gears and each gear shifting so rough, it shakes the car. So stupid me thinks the power steering resuvoir is the atf and seeing not much in there, I put some in
The car actually lowered it's idle in park from 2k to 1.5k rpm. Now I don't think I have changed my ATF fluid ever, at least since my tranny was replaced about 40k ago. I was looking the chiltons and it says you can drain the fluid like draining the oil and it says you refill it by putting ATF down the dipstick hole, is that correct
Could bad or not much ATF fluid cause a high idle and very rough switching of gears.
When refilling the ATF fluid, how many quarts or bottles (the same bottle size as a thing of oil) of fluid should I put in?
Note* the car switches gears fine when driving, but I still think the idle is a little high

tps, throttle position sensor
ctps, closed throttle position sensor
the ctps is built into the tps. the ctps tells the ecu that your foot is off the gas and to give even less gas so that the idle will drop down.

Manuals tell ALL the isssues u asked; see LINKS on my web page.
The only place to get internals info on TPS is here:
http://www.cardomain.com/ride/748507/6
TPS works on COLD engine until warm. A/T uses TPS always
....btw. Never heard of CTPS- reALLY, whats that??? I have opened TPS to piecese and did not never C that...
TPS switches are like this, for pot check the link:

figured it out guys
there was a bunch of junk between the throttle chanber to the beginning of the intake pipe. There was some that was blocking one of the 2 flaps that open when you hit the gas so we cleaned it out and it's all good now

Check out the TB seal seating: factory warped installation means they block airflow.
