My friend is a huge fan of rotary engines, as am I. I was thinking of getting a whole rotary motor and engine, tranny and running a standalone, in my S10. I could get the motor for under 800, and the tranny for like $150, plus the stand alone for 500-$1000. Plus a custom exaust. And If I get the 13B from a 2ed gen rx7 It will have a trubo with it, and put put about 250HP, with nearly 300HP with tweaking. Not too bad IMO. I can always upgrade the turbo if I want more power as well.

oh and i have a JDM motor w/ T3-T4 with spearco IC running to a 3" ceramic coated DP.
also how can you run a T88?...that thing is massive.
I hope that S10 is light. As you will note, rotaries were never really installed in anything heavy. I guess the the 3-rotor was in a jdm sedan but.....
For $1,000, an LT1 would be a much better choice. Or spend another $800 and go LS1. Already has 300hp with the torque to get the S10 outa the hole.

Thinking about just parting it out
I haven't seen a 2 or 3 rotors dump truck but I'm not itchin' to do that one either. Some swaps are rare because they don't make sense. If you want to rotor any light car, feel totally free. Heavy cars and rotaries don't mix imho.
Sorta ironic in alot ways though. Last time I heard, people are putting V8s into FB/FC and FDs. hehe

Id have it done by now if I wasnt addicted to 5-speeds! I may have a cheap 5speed swap lined up so I'm putting off the dropping of 2 trannys. Id rather do it once and not have to fork around with any more stupid autos.
Speaking of stupid engine swaps some guy on the s10forums.com wants to swap in a 2.2L honda Vtec engine.
