you can try and pull it up by hand, and then duct tape the glass into place for the time being. Noted, duct tape will leave a sticky residue, so when you are done, you will need some of that goo-b-gone stuff.

when you push the window up botton what happens?

if you here the sound of the motor turning but the window not moving its the regulator

if you dont here anyhting its the motor or the switch

chances are id be alot easier to just take the door apart and fix the problem instead of bandaiding it

and your right about the duct tape residue being a pain to get off

to clarify things abit, when you press the switch for the windows to go down, do you hear the motor turning with it, or the glass simply fell down? Having this information might help.

I have the same problem, and I know what the reason is. at least on mine, the window tilts forward, so it sorta wedges and stops. it's probably due to the seat that holds the underside of the window being damaged or bent or something. try gripping the window and tilting it backwards and pulling it up while pressing the button. that might help.

Balooney 're set'. Check out http://www.cardomain.com/ride/748507/13

The whole system is processor controlled network - from drivers door. Pass door needs "when & direction" -datasignals to start to work. Now it does not receive DATA and/or +12V at request and/or your motor & mech does not work.

Power is delivered only when the DATA is sent and demand -signal is active, there is no way to direct bypass the pass doors... without direct supplying +12V with extra wiring, that is.

My window on the passenger side is starting to sound very sluggish when I put it up. It sounds like the electric engine or whatever is starting to fail. I just hope it breaks when its up already.

check your window regulator and motor, best way to do this is by lowering the window and check to see the motor on the bottom, the lines that lead the window up and down get tangled and might only work one way or only go up half way.. take a peak..

window glitches
I to also have problems withe my windows not going up and I can not figure it out. Sometimes when attempting to raise the FR or RR window from the drivers position(actually any switch) they will not go up but I can hear a clicking sound from the door of the window I'm try to move when I hit the switch. Some times it will work and sometimes not but no matter what I hear that click. The LR doesn't work at all(no clicks).

What cuases this and what to do?

My repair manual from Chilton or Alldata just show a object with numbered wires but not the internal workings. Does anybody have anything more than this ?

check the stickies, under FAQ, and click on Craigh's website, then check a section called replacing windows regulator and motor.

If it's still clicking, then it might be the regulator got tangled up, but the motor is still good. no click either means the motor died, or no signal/power is getting to the motor because a switch died.

you probably need to pull the door panel and inspect.

What is the click noise I'm hearing exacty. I never have any grinding or other odd noise so I would not think the regulator has a stripped part. Is what I am hearing the motor bumping on a stuck regulator? If so how would you explain moving window down couple of inches, press up- will not move but will click, press down- will click and goes down, press up wil go up and the next time it won't go up but will click. This happens randomly of course and I never hear any sounds of damaged components. Window movement is smooth and consistent when moving.

I have never heard of a circuit breaker clicking at exactly the same time you press and release a windows switch. There has to be some time for the overload to trip it or time to reset once overload is gone if it is a thermal type. It sounds more like there is a relay in there.

I think your best bet now would just to pull the door panel and inspect, just takes a little time, but its free. IMO, it's much better than beating around the bush suspecting this and that right?

...cannot hear the sound or timeline. No relay in my doors. Sound might come from the motor mech?

On pass door, pressing button sends data request. Drivers door 'answers' by giving the supply voltage... The data signals are very weak, condensed water or pinched cable ruins connection.
