We've all had our usuall 3rd gen related problem regardless if it's a VE, VG, auto, or 5spd. But have you ever had a problem that no one else has ever posted about, a problem that would have seem to be related to most other 3rd gens?

I've had two problem in the past that I would have figured it should have been 3rd gen related. One problem was with my wipers and the other was my fuel pump harness.

The wiper problem I once had was whenever I turned off my wipers it would stop exactly where it's at instead of returning to the bottom of the windshield like most other cars. Also whenever I used my intermittent setting the wipers would swipe up, stop, swipe down, stop, swipe up, stop, and so and so on. Depending on the intermittent setting will dictate how long it will stop in between each swipe. The problem turned out to be a bad wiper relay.

The second "one of" problem I was had was a burnt fuel pump harness. This problem caught me off gaurd because engine wouldn't start one afternoon when leaving work. I still have my original fuel pump with over 152K miles and I hardly ever remove my rear seat cushion for whatever reason.

I know both of these problems can be independant to me, but I'm just curious.

This seems to be a new one for this entire board. Of course it happens to me. Everything happens to me.

Some early 90's model fords had that wiper problem your having. Might want to surf around some of the ford forums and see if they have found the fix for it.

Just a thought.........

nope

my maximas know who's boss

Aside from VTC's, I haven't even had any of the annoying stalling/studdering/bucking problems. Maybe she's treating me nice because I bought her a flywheel when I first got her

I know this is not the right place for this but the title leaves it open for any thing i guess. Need to replace the fender and hood on drivers side the guy at the junkyard told me that only 93-94 for the body parts but the 3rd gen runs from 89, So will a fender and hood from a 91 work i think that it should, but there might be some holes missing or something maybe someone has something on this. called the dealer parts guy said it will work.

Has anyone else had the oil pressure switch start leaking oil (through it, not around the threads)? It happened to me at 75K miles.

the wiper problem is a common problem among american automobiles, whether it be GM, Ford (taurus' mostly. i see them all the time with the wipers like | | haha)

but, the control arm bushing.. the non-replaceable one... wearing out so bad that on a bumpy on ramp, or sudden acceleration, the car would go wherever it damn well pleased... that's scary.
