help with temp gauge

installed my temp gauge today. i made a t fitting off the throttle body coolant line. when all said and done the gauge will only read up to 84 farenheit. one end of the sensor is threaded and the nut only goes down 2 threads so i just wrapped the wire around the sensor. i bleeded the air out and it still is only 84, what can i do?

- Measure its resistance, compare, see http://www.cardomain.com/ride/748507/8
- If air bubbles in, drive one hour full heat on over 2000rpm; loosen ahose to cause a tiny leak (air will find its way out). Very tiny leak, keep coolant level up.
