weight reduction

weight reduction

looking to reduce weight but still maintain everyday drivability. besides sound deadening, what can be removed?

other than the sound deadening and spare tire, there's not a lot you can remove aside from electronics, trim, etc that won't make the car unsafe.

I suggest you leave the weight factor as-is and look for other ways of making the car faster.

yeah i know all that but wanna keep it decent. probably gonna keep the spare in case i need it. thanks anyway

the spare tire is way heavier than i would have thought for some reason....

the back seats are not that heavy you'd be lucky to lose a couple lbs from that

My leather back seats are about 40-50lbs together..

Probably about twice as much as the amount of sound deadening material.

Errr, no.
the rear seat weighs about 25lb total... both halves.. with leather.

there is approx 50lb of sound deadening on the floor the car alone.

I might take my seats out and weight them on the scales at work to see myself and maybe own matt... j/k

I doubt it though...He pretty much keeps his bases covered..

im not talkign about the leather seats i have the fabric ones and when i took them out they werent heavy at all

Well matt.....They weigh in at 29.58lbs.....whew!...I'm tired...
