Got my new 3rd Gen!!
Well after a 5 hour round trip to flint, I am home with my new 3rd gen. It's a 90 Champaign GXE, 168k miles, stock except an aftermarket sliding sunroof (looks like stock!) Got there and it wouldnt start, so he let me have it for $320 instead of $380. There is some rust on the bottom of the front fenders near the doors that is pretty bad, and it has a trans issue. But it will soon be fixed up and probably sold.
Time for questions!:
The Keypad on the drivers door will not operate at all, what is the first thing to check. Passenger one works fine.
The passenger front window regulator is busted (held up by tape) Can i re-use a regulater off of my 90 SE, or will it need a brand new one.
Tranny has trouble finding gears. Checked dipstick, its way high on fluid, does that have anything to do with it?
Car has been sitting for a year. Still fired up with a new battery. Anything I should check/replace on the engine?
Thanks in advance!

1. cables..? I have no idea...
2. already answered
3. I'm guessing it's an auto, correct? in that case yes get the excessive oil outta there... chances are though, considering milage and if it's been driven hard, that you're facing the trannys end of life. not saying that's the case but it's been the story of so many guys here on the .org
4. always do routine maintenance on a car if you don't know anything about service history, such as engine oil and filter change etc etc... see this sticky for more info http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=128490
