Yup. it was. One of the 12colt leads into the switch was dead. I had to piggy back the other 12volt lead into it to make it run. Now I gotta figure WHY?!

Sometimes it pays just to loosen those 12V+ and - connections and, spray them with contact cleaner, and tighten them up again.
Believe it or not, the bright side of your story was that so many things went wrong at once, there could only have been a few common components between them = time saved troubleshooting.

I really lucked out... I can't focus when it comes to wiring.

Is there a resistor that supplies 12volt to the igntion colum?

I had the same crap happen to me also, it was a fuse in my alarm (not factory).I was just driving and she died, I could undo the battery reconnect and it would start up normal then in a few minutes just die.It looked good, (the fuse) but a check light proved it was bad. We replaced the fuse and I was good to go.
Good luck bro.

Hi there, long time no hear. Take a deep breath. Think one wire at a time... ONE wire is awfully simplex.

No resistor. Ign colum? is what.

Ign goes about like this:
