how can an intake be made for a 3rd gen, at shops around my parts , they all say just replace the stock intake with a cone filter , but where do the 2 tubes comming out of the stock intake get put into a cone filter.....

can anyone tell me how to make an intake? or what i would need..

 

there are a few diferent options as far a purchasing one go ebay, stillen, ect. if you want to make your own there is a popular no-cut design pioneered by MrGone and Jeff92se, do a little bit of looking around and you will find tons of info on all of these, as far a the materials you'll need : 1. mandrel bent tubing 2. something to cut it with 3. a tiny bit of creativity. just do a little looking around and you will find tons of info. i have a few picks of mine on my cardomain also.

 

You just want a normal cone type? Just buy a cheap ebay maf adaptor and a K&N from Cattman in the group deal forum. You could have a simple cone for less than $50. For those other hoses, that's on your midpipe. Just leave those alone.

 

do some more searching....there is a thread out here about a guy who did hybrid intake from a 90-93 honda intake.

 

Just buy the Ebay one for the VE, its $50. Throw out the crappy filter that it comes with and replace it with a quality one. Bam! A CAI for under $100. Having a shop make one is more trouble than its worth.

P.S. Modifying an Accord intake is for the VG engine only.
