Hey guys, this might be an easy question, but when i brake and i'm almost completely stopped my brakes moan. It sounds like it's just my rear brakes and a friend of mine told me that i needed to put somethin on them so they didn't vibrate?? Does anyone know what this is? Thanks

If your a do it yourselfer pull one of the back wheels off and check the brake pads....It might be time for new pads...If your not a do it yourfelfer then take it to a reputable brake shop...play it safe when it comes to brakes...

I don't think it's anti vibrating, but more so a silicon that will adhere the backing of the brakepad to the surface of the piston, so that when the brakes are released, it will pull the pad back enough so that it won't make contact with the rotor surface which sometimes causes noise.

However, like some have said on here, physically inspecting the brakes yourself are a much better option, since it can be done with very little time and effort, plus you will have the pleasure of putting the guess work aside.

It is possible that your slave clyinder in one of your back brakes has started leaking [quite common after your mess around with 12yr.old slave cylinders on a brake job]

The brake fluid leaking onto the brake shoes can cause a moaning sound like your hearing...

the "anti-vibrating" stuff he's talking about is a stop squeak.
do you have pads or shoes on the rear?
if pads then I'd say pull them and check that all your anti-rattle clips are in, the caliper bushings are lubed, and that the pads either have shims on them or some sort of anti-squeak put on them
