Alternator.
but I pay attention to my cars warning signs, so it didn't leave me stranded.
I'm very quick to have the car checked if I feel something isn't right.
Car is at the shop now to be checked to see if I bent my control arm/strut or only screwed up the wheel/alignment.

 

Never after 171K miles.

Sometimes I wonder about the value of my AAA+ membership (got it for the towing coverage), but as MrGone says, one tow will pay for it.

 

Bought the car at 133,000. Now at 151,000.

1. Water pump. But it had been making noise (that was getting worse) for like a month before, so it's my own fault.

 

had a tranny fail at 133,000 but i still had 1-2 gears.. drove home at 4500rpm ~ 45mph
now at 198,000 my 1990 GXE left me stranded last month. ever since that day, it sits in my back yard while my new 2001 frontier sits in the front.

i need to get into the problem on another thread.(bucking and stuttering, now refuses to start!)

 

nope never. first max I had never gave my mom (prev owner) huge problem, just some minor prob once and then of course the window regulators in the back.

my 89 5 speed, every once in a while (happened to me 3-5x in 3 weeks) it would crank and crank, but no start. hold WOT and that would help, it also stumbled and had a miss so Im guessing injectors. but its a 5 speed swap car so I dont care (plus it tried to kill me by throwing its front drivers side tire off so after that night I never drove it again POS)

and then I have a 90 auto that I bought with a bad auto tranny and its being converted to manual, by the cars' above parts. Cant wait to get that done.

Over all Ive had good luck and I cant wait to have a maxima again.
