Any idea why I get low idle sometimes at stop light

Hey,

I noticed recently that I have been gettin a lower idle while I apply brakes approaching a stop light or sign. It drops to about 400 500 rpms, u can kinda feel it in steering wheel. Also my brakes sometimes dont work the greatest, the pedal seems to drop when the A/C compressor engages at a stop light. It also seems like the brakes arnt workin to the fullest. Here is wats new on the car.

Stuff thats new...

Injectors (2 yrs ago)
WSP Y-Pipe (Last yr)
Tires (last month)
Brakes (last Yr, Rotors and Pads)
KYB GR-2 All round (2 yrs ago)
Distributor & Rotor ( last yr)
Spark Plugs (Last month)
Wires (last month)
Timming Belt & Tensioner (3 months ago)
UR Racing UDP ( 3 months ago)
All New Belts (3 months ago)
Ebay Remis Style ( last yr)
Battery ( 3 months ago)

Some more stuff too lol.

The gasket will probably be ok....If it gets damaged really bad when you take it off,you can possibly use a very thin layer of rtv sealant in its place....

Take it off and look inside it and you will probably see a lot of black gunky crap in there....A small brush will come in handy when cleaning it out.....

Also take a good look at all your vacuum hoses, make sure they are all in their place and not cracked....broken vacuum lines will cause a bad idle condition...

As the stepper motor sticks, idle adj gets jerky.

Use liquid sealant.

Open the whole thing, and wash with some alcohol based liquid, rag. The stepper motor screw in the valve should turn freely: some very light grease might help. Sticking grease will ruin the freedom...
