Well i sold my 90 5 speed almost a year ago and i had been guaging intrest in another maxima. i found a few but the prices werent good enough so i passed well today i picked up a 90 5 speed SE for 200.00 it needs a head gasket. i already found another engine for 300 so im just gonna go that route. the car is sky blue with dark blue interior which if i decide to keep it is all gonna change because i still have my custom black and white seats out of my 90 black Se. the alarm that came with it is awesome it has remote start and keyless entry which is nice. so i guess ill be back on the boards for bit untill i decide if i wanna fix it and keep it or sell it. if i can find a white or black 5 speed VE cheap enough id definitly never let that one go thats what im shooting for after i sell this and get some other things straight. i am and always have been a sucker for 3rd gens since an 89 se was my first car. itll be nice to mingle with you all again since i know i am gonna have questions.thanks in advance to all, not i am gonna roll back a few pages and see what ive been missing.

Damn $200. That's how much I paid for my bird because they thought it needed a new radiator and starter. Both fixed without paying anything. If I can find a VG 5-speed max for that price I would hop on it too. Congrats. I will probably rejoin the scene in a few months. I say instead of spending more money selling the car and buying a VE go boost. There are quite a few boosted VG's since the past few months.

 

i was just talking about boosting it last night! its funny you said that me and my buddy who is building a turbo set up for his crx were talking about re building the engine thats in it and boosting the crap out of it. that'll be in time though for now i am gonna get it cleaned up and get the new engine in it and get the old one out and see what we can do...... the new engine is only 350 from a local yard and it has been tested and they say they have the vin and mileage of the car it came out of so we'll see how that goes too....

 

what happend to your maxima i ahvent been on in a while so i am behind on alot of things.

BTW I just "bought" a 79 olds for $0, and it's in Dam good shape for being a 79.
of course I only paid $200 for my running VE 2 years back (needed 3 injectors)

there are deals out there if people know you're a car guy or in my case, come to me to sell a car and I just buy it instead of helping them sell it

 

i just spent the whole day changing out the dash and all teh panels to black and puttin my custom seats in it 3rd max these seats have seen and it makes it feel just like my first one.

I went through my third auto tranny and don't feel like swapping to a five speed. I'd rather save the headache and buy a VG5 (easier to turbo lol) Plus I wanted a coupe that I can turbo easily and I got it. I will be addicted to boost after december. Then I will get back into the maxima scene.
