Low fuel pressure

Hey guys i just got my car back from my mechanic cuz i was done trying to figure out what was wrong with it. My start up is inconsistant and strage cuz the rpms tent to bounce up and down and then settle at arround 700 and then my good old rough idle kicks in. The IACV and throttle body have been cleaned and i recently did a full tune up. Also my car tends to have a high end power loss it almost seems like the transmission doesnt down shift SOMETIMES. all of these problems are inconsistant and wierd. My mechanic said after alot of time diagnositing and with no stored codes he found that my fuel pressure was low (26 psi and the minimum should be around 35?) he said he wasnt sure if a new fuel pump would even solve my problems. He did recomend ngk spark plugs and taht my engien tends to not like the bocsh ones that i have in. Any input would help , anyone replace there fuel pump. symptoms? ngks?

Fuel pump is very easy. Use NGK plugs in either the oem plats or normal copper. Info is in the stickies. Fuel pump replacement info is in the stickies. Plugs won't affect fuel pressure.

The fuel pumps on these cars tend to just die all together....The low fuel pressure may be do to a clogged fuel filter.....

Or a faulty fuel pressure regulator. I have a few spares lying around.

- Youre lucky to have any life in u max with -bosch-
- Tranny is 'hangin' behind TPS, bad downshift is one of the symptoms.
...see pages 6 & 15 clic at http://www.cardomain.com/ride/748507/1
- minuscle air leak in IACV or its input hose causes fluctuating idle
