That really sucks man, I just paid 50 bucks yesterday over the phone, it was the last day before my $50 fine doubled. I still owe another ticket for $100
damn stupid residential parking zones..
The same happened to my friend, he bought a Mazda Millenia and it got towed away for that same reason right when he made his last payment on it

Dude, I'm getting my maxima today from the shop, where's yours parked I wanna take a "live and on site" look at the car. I'll be vigilante while you pull them parts. Need an overnite crew to work on "parts removal"? Let me know.

$1500
the car was decent, but both front fenders were dented. The car had been in numerous accidents before I got it (rear arms were bent on one side) It was a great car, but I've already got the VE5 coming so no point in throwing money at this car anymore.
it's a shame I don't know how to cut the car in half, I'd take the rear half for the VE5 (it was rear ended)

if they leave the jack there when they take the car, you can have it.
The car is currently up on the jack on one side.

BUT I'm working ALL of next week sun-friday so it's crunch time to get all this crap out.

I'll probably be hitting you up later for the-thing-that-releases-the-shifter-lock for my 90 GXE (If it'll work for the GXE). Also, is it legal to strip the car like that? And like someone mentioned, take the wheels too. I would love to see the face of the tow truck guy when he comes to pick up the car. Probably cost more to tow the car than all the tickets added up.
I'll pull the shifter, but that's one of the last things I may pull

Legal? Don't know if it isn't what are they going to do?

Bring with a jack I gotta pull the rear brakes still, it's either that or buying another set of brackets from jeff, and I'm way broke (unemployed too) to be doing that.

What's left to do:
1. Sunroof
2. Free wheels - just unbolt them and kick - no need for the blocks.
3. Headlights!!!
4. Tails
5. IACV, throttle position sensor, alt, pump, coolant temp sensor
6. Heads

those stripped pic's are funny. I was just wondering, does them seizing the car relieve you from responsibility for the tickets?

When I was in college in Milwaukee, they wouldn't sell me a city sticker as an out of stater, but would ticket me 2-3 times a week. They never booted my car, but at least once a month sent a letter to my house threatening to suspend my license. I used to just laugh, being from Pa and all.

unfortunately them siezing the car doesn't relieve my obligation to pay the tickets. I wish it did, I'd have had them boot the integra

harv- the car should still be here saturday, I'm just not going to be able help you or even be around. It's my sabbath. Oh and sorry but I still haven't sent your heater core
I can leave you the title and key for the car if you want.

the exact address is:
3010 West touhy ave, Chicago, Illinois, 60645
Google map

just make sure you bring tools, especialy the big socket for the rear hub. then you can be nice and pull off the rear brake bracket

Get enough people... and you could leave them the tire with boot... NOW THAT WOULD BE ****ING HILARIOUS!!!!

Tow truck arrives to find only a tire boot, and shell

Stupid question.....but if you ever illegally park another one of your cars, won't they see all of your unpaid parking tickets in the system and boot the other car as well?

The boot surrounds the tire on the bottom and also covers the center where the lug nuts are....Hence no wheelie takie offie....

I'm sorry, but why are there still doors on the car? I could really use new rear doors.

And the steering wheel? With the cruise controls?

I say you leave them a frame with wheels. No body panels, nothing. I still have outstanding Chicago tickets, they can boot the miata that got them too. It's no good to me now, anyway. Did you know that you can roll a miata?

Nevermind... my friend said it would take a day to get that trans out... he said if it was rear wheel drive it would take 2 hours but not for a front wheel drive car.

If I felt it could come out quickly I'd have done it myself.
of course the engine would have come out too.

That sucks. I would have gotten some of thoes rollers that go under your wheels and put it under all 4 and rolled it away somewhere. maybe you can go out there in the middle of the night and get some more parts that you want.

This is so funny. Very sad thought. I would try to get the engine out. Get like 5 people to pull it out and stick it in a truck. LOL I love that pic of the inside.

You should have just driven around the block a few times till the cops were gone.

and I still think you should take the other 3 tires and leave it on blocks for the suckers.

Well I guess it's a little to late for this, but here's an idea for you:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/3112670.stm

So don't you feel kind of guilty or nervous or something pulling all of those parts off of the car while it's sitting on the street? What would happen if you got caught?
