How you ride that clutch....

Do you push the clutch in when going over speedbumps? How 'bout slow turns?

I wonder if the less stress on the CV axles (especially with the speedbumps) weighs in favor over the extra clutch use? Not to mention, it's jerky to stay in gear.

Obviously, I have nothing else to worry about on a Saturday night.

its always easier to control around corners while in gear. Why abuse your T.O. bearing? I highly doubt the clutch cares about low speed turns, as for speed bumps...

i usually leave it in gear around curves. THe only time I'll take it out of gear is down steep hills at higher speeds and sitting at traffic lights/long traffic jams.

Why? It's not good to leave it in gear while going down steep hills? I chill in 2nd and I don't have to touch the brakes.

screw gas money; leave it in gear, just make sure that the rpms don't drop below 2K if you plan on using that same gear to take off with.

sorry about my inciting statement, I am - am I bored. I've dropped too many trannies just to replace worn clutch...

I love my maxima & A/T - after sticky wobblin pedalin few million km's. As a kid, I loved my hornet AT, then came the first camel-oil coup: had to learn pedallin diesels...

Once I tested 1.3L GM Opel station wagon with A/T. Now thats an experience: gas pedal just changes whine pitch. Now got Maxima horses AND A/T, this is so much above the daily trouble for a lazy man: any civic student disappers in rw mirror w/o hassle.

Maybe all this dissent is associated with hair color?

the rain in spain falls mainly on the plain, but at times that this does not hold true; it sounds as if a gnome is inside of my tranny w/ a hammer hitting the bellhousing, more often as I go faster. Sound like an input shaft bearing?

Its so plain dry in Spain, that soon garden watering is verboten. Instead of hammer, it may be the sickle if tranny is sick...
