Need Quick Help! Back Right Window Does Not Stay Up!!!

Hey,

When I got out of my car and waz walkin in I noticed they window waz down and when I went to try to roll it up it just keep clicking. Is this the track or the regulator? Also my front driver side door window goes up super slow then gets stuck and needs help going up. Is this the motor? or Regulator?

Please Help ASAP !! My max could get STOLEN!!!!!

Also is ebay best to buy the parts and how long will it take to fix?

Both of you need to buy new window regulators. They are about $40 + shipping. Find member Internetautomar and he will hook you up.

They are pretty easy to install. Maybe 45 minutes to an hour your first time and about 30 minutes after that. Look in the stickies and there are instructions on how to replace it yourself. IIRC, all you need are a screwdriver and a socket, maybe 10mm or 12mm? can't remember now. It's in the instructions on Craig Brace's site in the stickies.

They are all about the same price. If you are replacing the driver front window, I might recommend paying more to get a regulator with a new motor, too. I did that and it was about 5x faster than the worn out motor that was in it. I, like most people, use that window considerably more than the others.

It is most likely just the regulator...Not the motor....

OK well if I buy from Internetautomart will he knock off any thing? He has the RR at $50 and the rest at $40. So I should just do both? Will it take long? 1hr?

I just said it was a good idea to get one with a new motor if you can on the driver front, since it gets a lot of use. My original one was very slow.

His prices are competitive with anyplace else, but he is a trusted member on this board and has done well by a lot of guys.

You only need to replace the regulator that isn't working. Go look at Craig's site that was linked. That has "how to" replace the regulator.

all the windows are R&Red the same basic way.
if you follow Craig's instructions for the front one, the rear one should be fairly obvious to do.
If you need any help don't be afraid to ask, I just pulled a few out the other day.

Basically the same. It's not that hard to figure out. Some bolts/screws might be in a different place. This is a great first "do-it-yourself" project on your car. It only goes in one way. Just look at it close before you put the new one in.

you should get it in about 4 business days.
BTW, try to use a socket wrench instead of a screwdriver on the bolts for the reg, much easier.

your rear window is definatly the regulator and your front window may jsut need to be adjusted. take the door panel off and with a 10 mm socket check to see if the bolts connected to the regulator and the track are snug and see if they might have moved. you can tell by the dis colored paint.
