What exactly did you do to your Max? Turbo? Supercharger? C'mon man, what's the Secret Sauce? Anyway, you got me on the edge of my seat!!!! Nice Skyline pics too. True, the only one I have ever seen of that was in an ad in Superstreet one time. Never saw it again...

Aren't those engines around 280hp at the flywheel? i'm guessing the drivetrain will probably eat up at least 50 hp. Damn thats a lot of power. I talked to some monster truck drivers back when I did pro arena racing in my Jeep, and the things they would do to squeeze out HP were incredible. but then big displacement and a blower always helps.

well here it goes i hope i answer all the questions.
1)it is a 5 speed
2)here is a little bit of the secret sauce.first i have all the usual bolt-ons,plus i have the stillen stage 3 clutch (good for 500 horses),stillen lightened flywheel, (20 over)je 12:1 pistons domed topped w/valve relief cut out,all pistons coated by HPC,valve springs have been shimmed evenly so that all the springs have the same spring rate at higher RPM'S,
well thats all for now ill let yall know the rest later once its up and running

i do have some in progress pics but they are on regular film.as soon as i give it a wash and detail i will take some pics..

no im in florida and down herer they got rid of emissions (thank god)so i dont know if it would or not but im sure it would.
unfortunately no one makes any camshafts for the VE motors so im out of luck in that department i wish someone made them cause i defintly would have them. i checked everywhere JWT,STILLEN,CROWER,ETC...and no one makes them so im running stockers..

oh also when i said i have all the usual bolt-ons as of right now im still old school on that. i mean this i have the stillen high flow intake (not a cold air)
also i have the stock y-pipe not a (cattman or warpspeed)yet!!!!!!!!!!!! but i will have the y-pipe before it is put back together..

Sweet the name of the place is Chet Herbert Cams they did a cam for a 390 Ford of mine it was nuts it had a 590 lift.It made a big difference it was a new cam I did not turn in my old one to them. But if you can send them your spare cams and maybe they can start manufacturing them.Tell them there is a pretty big demand for them and you need to have them pass smog see what they say. Here is the #(714)750-1826 or you can try this place by my work it is called.National Crank Shaft #(714)634-3803.Let me know what you find out remember all these companies specialize in old V8's American Cars.So take it easy on them...If you come up empty handed with them let me know.I can get you a bunch more #'s

I hear everyone talking about 93 octane all we have here is 92 and oh yeah that 103 from 76 that is like $4 a gallon. And as far as passing smog come on now you have to make it fair for us that do.If they produce the cams then I would be very interested.
